Overview
CDON is one of the Nordic region's largest online marketplaces. I joined as a UX designer focused on the buyer-facing storefront, working closely with product managers and developers to improve discovery, filtering, and purchase flows across desktop and mobile.
Challenge
With a catalogue of millions of SKUs from hundreds of sellers, the biggest friction points were in search and filtering. Users struggled to narrow results meaningfully, and product page content quality was inconsistent depending on the seller.
Approach
I ran a series of usability tests to identify where users dropped off in the filtering flow, then redesigned the filter panel with progressive disclosure, showing the most-used filters up front and collapsing the long tail. I also worked with the seller team to define a minimum content standard for product pages.
Highlights
- Redesigned the search and filter experience across desktop and mobile
- Created a reusable component library in Figma shared with 4 product teams
- Led usability testing sessions and synthesised findings into actionable design briefs
- Contributed to a new seller onboarding UI that reduced setup time significantly
